Second baseman Devon Travis, who is scheduled to return from the 15-day disabled list next week, will slide back into the Blue Jays starting lineup, per MLB.com.
Toronto manager John Gibbons confirmed that Travis, who has been bothered by a shoulder injury, will take the place of Ryan Goins at second, who will return to a utility role.
"[Travis] is our second baseman," Gibbons said. "[Goins] will still play a lot, we'll bounce him around. He'll get action at second, we can play him anywhere."
The rookie has hit .271/.336/.504 with seven home runs, 26 RBI and two stolen bases in 133 at-bats.
