Collin Cowgill gets through first rehab appearance

Angels outfielder Collin Cowgill made his rehab debut for Triple-A Salt Lake Friday, as he continues to recover from a broken nose.

Cowgill started the game in the leadoff spot and played right field, going 1 for 3 with a walk and a strikeout. It is not yet known how long he is expected to remain in the minors.
