Dodgers legend Tommy Lasorda 'doing well' following surgery to replace pacemaker
Lasorda had been in the hospital and in intensive care following surgery
Last week, we brought you the news that Los Angeles Dodgers legend and Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda had spent several days in the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital.
Details about Lasorda's condition were sparse at the time. But on Friday, we learned more about what was ailing him. Here's what the Dodgers' official account tweeted:
Tommy Lasorda underwent surgery to replace his pacemaker yesterday. He's doing well and looking forward to returning to Dodger Stadium.

As previously noted, Lasorda is one of the most accomplished managers in recent memory. In addition to winning two World Series and four pennants, he finished his 21-year career with a .526 winning percentage and two Manager of the Year Awards.
We wish Lasorda well in his recovery.
