Red Sox pitcher John Lackey received the start against Team Puerto Rico on Tuesday night and was very sharp. He gave up three hits over three scoreless innings. Lackey, who threw 45 pitches, also struck out two without issuing a walk. "I felt really good tonight," Lackey told MLB.com. "It was a really good day in the process. I felt like my arm strength's getting better. It feels like it's getting better each time out."
