Pittsburgh starting candidate Jeff Locke started off the spring training season with a Grapefruit League start against Tampa Bay Saturday. Locke walked a batter but was otherwise untouched over three innings. He struck out one in his outing and gave way to Chris Leroux in the fourth. Locke ended up earning the win despite going just three innings due to the relaxed spring training rules.
