By virtue of his splendid season with the New York Mets, 42-year-old right-hander Bartolo Colon earned the right to be in charge of the candy inside of the team's dugout, and to distribute it as he sees fit. So that's what happened Friday night during a 5-1 victory at Atlanta.

Yoenis Cespedes clubbed his 33rd home run, rookie Steven Matz lowered his ERA to 1.88, and Colon gave out Dubble Bubble and sunflower seeds at his leisure.

It's all reminiscent of a song...

Who can take a sunrise (who can take a sunrise)
Sprinkle it with dew (sprinkle it with dew)
Cover it with choc'late and a miracle or two
Bartolo can (the Candy Man)
Oh, Bartolo sure can (the Candy Man can)
Bartolo sure can
'Cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good
(Makes the world taste good)

He could even eat the dishes!
