Luis Perez auditions for Braves

The Braves had free-agent pitcher Luis Perez in for a tryout Monday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The lefty Perez missed most of 2013 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. The Braves figure to have Luis Avilan as the only lefty locked into a bullpen role with Johnny Venters out, and Perez has a chance to make the team over a nonroster invitee if he signs with Atlanta.
