Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, who blew his second save in his previous outing, bounced back with a solid performance as he notched his 30th save of the season Friday night against the Twins.
Rivera made quick work of the Twins as he struck out one and retired the side in order to preserve a 2-0 victory.
Rivera has reached 30 saves for the 15th season, snapping Trevor Hoffman's all-time record for the most career 30-save seasons. The right-hander has a 1.83 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP through his first 34 1/3 innings.
