Blue Jays starting pitcher Mark Buehrle rebounded from a disastrous outing his last time out with a solid game Saturday in Boston. After giving up seven runs over six innings in Tampa, Buehrle was able to hold the Red Sox to just one run over seven strong innings.

Buehrle allowed five hits and two walks over 105 pitches with five strikeouts for Toronto. Unfortunately for him, Darren Oliver gave up a one-run lead and Buehrle had to settle for a no-decision.

His ERA is still high at 6.19, but Toronto is hoping it gets more outings like this one out of Buehrle, who had allowed at least five earned runs in each of his previous three starts. The big thing for Buehrle Saturday was keeping the ball in the yard. He'd allowed eight homers over his previous three starts.

Buehrle makes his next appearance Friday on the road in the American League East when he heads to New York.
