A missing 2004 Red Sox World Series ring was found by police during a drug raid in Boston, according to The Associated Press. The raid took place in Quincy, Massachusetts, about 12 miles from Fenway Park.

Capt. John Dougan said police had been monitoring the home for several months. A search warrant was executed Tuesday after police witnessed a drug deal. A "significant" number of oxycodone pills, money-counting machines, police scanners, $9,000 in cash and the ring were found.

The ring, which had been reported missing, belonged to a team employee, not a player or coach. Dougan says it is unclear how the ring wound up in the home. The Red Sox won their first World Series title in 86 years in 2004.

The man who owned the house as well as the two men who purchased pills are due in court Wednesday.
