On Monday, Major League Baseball released the second update of the fan voting for the AL All-Star Game starters. The Royals were dominating at the time of the first update, leading five of nine positions with three others in second place.
Kansas City fans continue to stuff the ballot box and yes, five Royals are again in line to start the All-Star Game. Here's the current voting leaders:
C: Salvador Perez, Royals
1B: Miguel Cabrera, Tigers
2B: Jose Altuve, Astros
SS: Alcides Escobar, Royals
3B: Mike Moustakas, Royals
OF: Lorenzo Cain, Royals
OF: Mike Trout, Angels:
OF: Alex Gordon, Royals
DH: Nelson Cruz, Mariners
Three other Royals -- Eric Hosmer at first, Omar Infante at second and Kendrys Morales at DH -- are second in the voting at their respective positions. Here are the updated voting results:

First base is easily the closest race right now, with Hosmer only 70,515 votes behind Cabrera. Perez has the most comfortable lead at 1,279,316 votes. As a fan of chaos, I have to admit I'm disappointed to see Alex Rodriguez so far behind in the DH voting.
The second NL All-Star voting update will be released Tuesday. Here's the first NL update and here's the All-Star Game ballot. Go vote! It's your duty as a baseball fan! The voting ends July 2.
