SAN FRANCISCO -- Game 4 of the World Series between the Royals and Giants at AT&T Park is in the offing, and here's a look at the field of valorous combat ... 

As you can see, it's presently a lovely if windy (regard those stiffened flags) day for this, our baseball. However, the forecast moving forward may rightly be described as "dubious and possibly lame-wad."

Per CBS San Francisco, we're looking at game time temps in the low 70s, but there's a solid chance of thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening. At first pitch (5 p.m. local time), we're right now looking at a 50 percent chance of showers. That figure drops to 40 percent by 8 p.m. local time. Of course, much depends on the severity of those storms and, should they come to pass, how much rain they dump in China Basin and environs.
