Tigers outfielder Austin Jackson, who had an injury scare Saturday against the Indians when he crashed into the wall attempting to track down Carlos Santana's eventual inside-the-park HR, could not start Sunday's game for Detroit, MLB.com reports. The Tigers are giving Jackson a day to recuperate even though he didn't leave Saturday's game.

Jackson is batting .270 this year for Detroit with 11 homers and 38 RBI over 444 at-bats. That said, he's gone 19 for 53 (.358) over his last 13 games with two homers and 10 RBI.
