Red Sox's Henry Urrutia: Agrees to minor-league deal
Urrutia signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox and was assigned to Double-A Portland.
Urrutia struggled to a .175/.243/.254 triple slash in 62 at-bats with Triple-A Norfolk this season before being cut loose by Baltimore. He'll serve as organizational depth for the Red Sox.

Henry Urrutia: Released by Orioles
Urrutia was released by the Orioles on Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The 30-year-old was slashing just .175/.243/.254 through 63 at-bats with Triple-A Norfolk before the Orioles decided to cut him loose. He hasn't seen the majors since a brief stint in 2015, so he'll likely serve as organizational depth if he's able to catch on elsewhere.

Orioles' Henry Urrutia: Sent to Triple-A Norfolk
Urrutia will open the season at Triple-A Norfolk, Steve Melewski of MASN Sports reports.
Urrutia played 32 games at Norfolk in 2016, over which he slashed .245/.347/.304. At 30 years old, Urrutia doesn't carry much upside and will provide organizational depth this coming season.

Orioles' Henry Urrutia: Clears waivers, heads to Double-A
Urrutia cleared waivers and was assigned to Double-A, MASN Sports reports.
Urrutia was designated for assignment in late-July to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. He is not headed to Baltimore anytime soon, as the 29-year-old has been demoted from Triple-A to Double-A with a very average performance this season. In 80 minor league games, he is slashing .280/.339/.372 with just three home runs. The Orioles have several other outfield prospects above Urrutia on the organizational depth chart.

Urrutia's DFA clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Julio Borbon, who got called up Tuesday. Urrutia, who's slashed .280/.339/.372 between Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk, will now enter a waiver period where he'll be available to be picked up by another big league club.

Orioles' Henry Urrutia: Optioned to Triple-A on Monday
Urrutia was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.
Urrutia performed well enough in a small stint in the majors last season to garner some attention on most clubs, but with the Orioles as crowded in the outfield as they are, he'll be forced to head back to Norfolk to develop more. He could head up to the big club at some point during the season if they want him up as a fifth outfielder, though.
