Blue Jays' Gabriel Martinez: Finishes strong in High-A
Martinez slashed .324/.381/.490 with three homers and a 9:17 BB:K over 28 games for High-A Vancouver to close out the 2022 campaign.
The 19-year-old Venezuelan came into the campaign with little to no hype, but he proved this year that he can hit, as he put up an .832 OPS at Single-A before being promoted and carrying his success forward to the higher level. While he could stand to develop a little more power and there's no speed to be found here, Martinez impressed with his contact skills, as he struck out in only 15 percent of his at-bats at High-A.

Blue Jays' Gabriel Martinez: Goes yard in High-A debut
Martinez was promoted to High-A Vancouver on Saturday and debuted with the Canadians on Monday, going 1-for-3 with a solo homer.
Martinez finished his time in Single-A with a .296/.356/.492 batting line, and he wasted no time showing off his pop in High-A. Just having turned 20 years old, he's one of the youngest players at that level. For dynasty managers, he remains worth keeping an eye on -- or snatching up in deeper formats.

Blue Jays' Gabriel Martinez: Returns from wrist injury
Martinez, who missed all of June with a fractured wrist that required a surgical procedure, returned to action at Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday and went 2-for-4 with a double and a homer.
It didn't take him long to get right back into the swing of what's been a breakout campaign, as Martinez is now batting .315/.373/.562 with 10 homers, two steals and an impressive 16.4 percent strikeout rate. Even with the time he's missed, Martinez still ranks fifth in the Florida State League in home runs; he's also sixth in batting average and fourth in OPS.

Blue Jays' Gabriel Martinez: Breaking out in A ball
Martinez is hitting .314/.374/.545 with nine homers, two steals, 35 RBI, 32 runs and a 14:28 BB:K in 42 games for Single-A Dunedin.
As good as that line is, he's been even better lately, having hit safely in 25 of his last 26 with a .371/.405/.676 line in that span. The 19-year-old Martinez didn't get a lot of love before this season, though scouts have made note of his bat speed and approach. Now that he's showing noticeably above-average power as well as strong plate skills at a fairly tender age, he's sure to earn a lot more attention in dynasty circles.
