Guardians' Steven Hajjar: Dealt to Cleveland
The Guardians acquired Hajjar on Saturday as the player to be named later in the Feb. 8 deal that sent Will Benson to Cincinnati.
Hajjar has now been traded twice in his short professional career. He was dealt from Minnesota to Cincinnati in the trade that sent Tyler Mahle to Minnesota last August, and he'll now head to Cleveland prior to the start of the 2023 campaign. A second-round pick in 2021, the 22-year-old Hajjar registered a 3.61 ERA and 83:32 K:BB over 52.1 innings between Low-A Fort Myers and High-A Dayton in 2022. He'll likely report to one of the Guardians' lower-level affiliates to begin 2023.

Reds' Steven Hajjar: Lands on IL at High-A
High-A Dayton placed Hajjar on the 7-day injured list Aug. 13 due to an unspecified issue.
Hajjar, whom the Reds acquired in the Aug. 2 deal that sent Tyler Mahle to Minnesota, reported to Dayton after he had previously been pitching for the Twins' Single-A affiliate. He posted a 6.43 ERA and struck out 10 in seven innings across his two starts at Dayton before landing on the IL.

Reds' Steven Hajjar: Shipped to Cincy
Hajjar was traded from the Twins to the Reds on Tuesday along with Spencer Steer and Christian Encarnacion-Strand in exchange for Tyler Mahle, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
The lone pitcher heading back to Cincinnati, Hajjar turns 22 in a week and logged a 2.47 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 71:22 K:BB in 43.2 innings through 12 starts at Low-A. He might be assigned to High-A directly or in the coming weeks. Improving his control will be key for the 6-foot-5 lefty to make it as a starting pitcher.

Twins' Steven Hajjar: Activated at Single-A
Single-A Fort Myers reinstated Hajjar (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Sunday and assigned him to the Twins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.
Hajjar was roughed up Monday in his return to action in the FCL following a one-month absence due to a left shoulder strain. He worked just 1.2 innings in his start while allowing five runs (four earned) on three hits and four walks. Hajjar could need a few more outings in the FCL to shake off some rust before he gets another look in the Fort Myers rotation.

Twins' Steven Hajjar: Out with shoulder strain
Hajjar was placed on the 7-day injured list at Single-A Fort Myers on Wednesday with a left shoulder strain, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Hajjar lasted only two innings during his last appearance for the Mussels on June 7, and he'll now be sidelined for at least a week after being diagnosed with a strained shoulder. The 21-year-old has a 2.04 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB over 35.1 innings this season.
