Rangers' Alejandro Osuna: Elevated to Triple-A
The Rangers promoted Osuna from Double-A Frisco to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
The 22-year-old Osuna has increased his cachet as a prospect over the last few months. After turning heads in big-league spring training with a 1.237 OPS to go with two stolen bases during Cactus League play, the outfielder has continued to shine early on during the minor-league season. He was bumped up to a Triple-A after getting on base at a .356 clip while going 7-for-9 in steal attempts over 146 plate appearances with Frisco.

Rangers' Alejandro Osuna: Strong first showing at Double-A
Osuna is slashing .301/.374/.505 with seven home runs, seven steals and a 21.3 percent strikeout rate in 53 games for Double-A Frisco.
He slashed .272/.339/.486 with nine home runs and 10 steals in 45 games in a return to High-A Hickory to start the season. Osuna has seen time in all three outfield spots this year, but he projects best in left field due to his average speed and fringe-average arm. His lack of defensive utility means Osuna will need to stand out at the plate in order to eventually crack the big-league lineup in a year or two.

Rangers' Alejandro Osuna: Pushes up to High-A
Osuna was recently promoted to High-A Hickory and has hit .261/.280/.435 with a homer and a steal through his first six games there.
Osuna's final line for Single-A Down East is a sharp .313/.397/.467 with nine home runs, 32 steals and a 36:50 BB:K. While the steals pop off the page, he did get caught 15 times in Single-A (and twice in his first three attempts since the promotion), so it wouldn't be incredibly surprising if Osuna runs less as he proceeds through the minors. He has a great sense of the strike zone and a decent bit of pop, but for Osuna to become an outfield regular in the majors one day, he'll probably need to muscle up a little bit more and/or get more efficient with his base stealing.

Rangers' Alejandro Osuna: Up to 30 steals in Single-A
Osuna has a .321/.407/.476 batting line with eight home runs, 30 steals and 34:47 BB:K through 71 games for Single-A Down East.
The 19-year-old has run wild on the bases, for better or worse -- he's been caught 14 times, so he'll have to improve that rate to continue getting green lights at higher levels. His power output has also fallen off dramatically from early in the year, as he's homered just once in his last 32 games -- yet he's managed to hit .314 with a .380 OBP and 16 steals in that span. Osuna's still not getting much attention despite his strong early returns, but with his solid sense of the strike zone and good speed, he remains a prospect to watch.

Rangers' Alejandro Osuna: Flashing power-speed combo
Osuna has a .326/.428/.536 line with seven homers, 14 steals and a 23:25 BB:K through 41 games for Single-A Down East.
The only flaw to be found in the 19-year-old outfielder's stat line is that he's been caught stealing eight times; otherwise, these are remarkable numbers from a widely overlooked prospect -- including a very promising lack of strikeouts. Signed out of Mexico by the Rangers in 2020, he's the younger brother of former MLB closer Roberto Osuna and will likely earn significantly more attention when the midsummer prospect lists come out.
