The Brewers and Vaughn avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $7.65 million contract Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Vaughn was reinvigorated after a trade to the Brewers last season, slashing .308/.375/.493 with nine homers across 64 regular-season tilts. He will enter the 2026 campaign slated for the bulk of the playing time at first base for Milwaukee.
Vaughn isn't in the lineup for Game 4 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers on Friday.
Vaughn has gone 0-for-10 with a walk through the first three games of the series. Now one loss away from elimination, the Brewers will turn to Jake Bauers to start at first base in Vaughn's stead.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win against the Cubs in Game 5 of the NLDS.
Vaughn broke a 1-1 tie with his solo blast to left field in the fourth inning. The Cubs were unable to respond as Milwaukee finished off the series-clinching win. Vaughn went 4-for-14 with two homers and four RBI over five NLDS games. He and the Brewers will next face the defending-champion Dodgers in the NLCS.
