Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Amassing hits and walks
Vaughn is 6-for-14 (.429) with a home run, three RBI and a 3:1 BB:K through five games this spring.
The homer is Vaughn's lone extra-base hit to date, but he is both getting hits and reaching base with regularity -- something he did far more often after joining the Brewers than in his four-plus seasons with the White Sox. There is reason to be skeptical of Vaughn given that he has appeared in just 64 regular-season games for Milwaukee, but the Brewers seem convinced, and he is slated to open the season as the team's primary first baseman.

Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Gets $7.65 million from Brewers
The Brewers and Vaughn avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $7.65 million contract Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Vaughn was reinvigorated after a trade to the Brewers last season, slashing .308/.375/.493 with nine homers across 64 regular-season tilts. He will enter the 2026 campaign slated for the bulk of the playing time at first base for Milwaukee.

Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Sitting for Game 4
Vaughn isn't in the lineup for Game 4 of the NLCS versus the Dodgers on Friday.
Vaughn has gone 0-for-10 with a walk through the first three games of the series. Now one loss away from elimination, the Brewers will turn to Jake Bauers to start at first base in Vaughn's stead.

Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Hits decisive Game 5 homer
Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win against the Cubs in Game 5 of the NLDS.
Vaughn broke a 1-1 tie with his solo blast to left field in the fourth inning. The Cubs were unable to respond as Milwaukee finished off the series-clinching win. Vaughn went 4-for-14 with two homers and four RBI over five NLDS games. He and the Brewers will next face the defending-champion Dodgers in the NLCS.
