The Sacramento Kings will rescind their qualifying offer to guard Seth Curry, so he will become an unrestricted free agent, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. This news comes after the Kings agreed to sign Arron Afflalo on Saturday and Garrett Temple on Sunday -- their backcourt is full, so they weren't going to match an offer sheet for Curry anyway.

Curry was totally out of the Kings' rotation for most of the year under George Karl, but put up big numbers late in the season when given an opportunity. He's a lights-out shooter who has improved as a playmaker and tries to be a pest defensively to make up for his lack of size. While Curry doesn't have much NBA experience, he has shown that he should at least get a chance to compete for a primary backup point guard role.

Max Fisher of DallasBasketball.com has reported that the Dallas Mavericks are evaluating Curry. Now that he is an unrestricted free agent, there should be more interest in him during this free-agency moratorium.
