Report: Timberwolves shopping Chase Budinger
Wing shooter Chase Budinger on the block after missing time for injury with $5 million left on his deal.

Yahoo Sports reports that the Timberwolves are looking to move forward Chase Budinger.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping forward Chase Budinger in trade talks, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Among talks with several teams, the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets have shown an interest, league sources said.

Budinger, who missed all but 41 games last season due to a knee injury, averaged 6.7 points and 2.5 rebounds for the Wolves last season. He struggled mightily from three for another year. He's a career 36 percent 3-point shooter, though, and that's especially helpful for both Detroit and the Rockets. Houston always takes a huge amount of 3s under "Moreyball" which emphasizes getting to the rim and shooting from the outside, but doesn't actually have many great shooters to help spread the floor.
The Pistons recently lost Jodie Meeks to a back injury for several months, and they too struggled with shooting last season. So adding Budinger would help in that regard, especially if they could move any of their long-term money.
Yahoo reports no deal is close to happening, but expect Budinger to remain in talks throughout the year.
