Steph Curry 3-point Tracker: Eight triples add to ridiculous pace
Warriors superstar Stephen Curry made eight 3s on Thursday, and is now on pace for 376 makes.
Stephen Curry is still on pace to annihilate his own record for 3-pointers made in a season. Last year, the Golden State Warriors superstar made 286 3s, the most in NBA history. In 38 games in 2015-16, Curry has made 179 of them.
On Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry went 8-for-16 from deep. This was the eighth time this season he has made eight 3s in a game, and the 18th time of his career, per the Warriors. That's the most in NBA history.
Curry is on pace to make 376 3-pointers this season, surpassing last year's mark by 90 makes. This, of course, is assuming that he is healthy for the rest of the year. Curry missed two games at the end of December and has left two games early since then. This has slowed his pace a little bit -- earlier this season, he was projected to pass 400 made 3s with ease.
If you were wondering, Curry has needed 401 3-point attempts to make 179 this season. That means he's taking an average of 10.6 per game and making 44.6 percent of them. The NBA has never seen anything remotely like this.
