Tiago Splitter, Danny Green to return from rest

Spurs guard Danny Green and Tiago Splitter are expected back in the lineup Wednesday against the Nuggets, after sitting out the team's previous game in order to rest, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told the Express-News Tuesday he expects to continue giving the team's non-star players additional resting time. He specifically mentioned Splitter and Green as candidates down the stretch, with Green still nursing a wrist issue.

"Those guys have been playing a lot of minutes," he said. "Danny has had that wrist (sprain) and Tiago has been doing yeoman's work underneath the last two, three, four games as far as having to be banging around with those big guys. It was great to give…his body a little bit of a rest. It worked out well."
