  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Probable to return Sunday

DeRozan (back) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Spurs. DeRozan was able to fully participate in Saturday's practice and is trending towards a return from a two-game absence due to lower back inflammation. Over his first 15 regular-season games as a member of the Kings, DeRozan has averaged 22.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals over 36.3 minutes per contest.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Logs full practice Saturday

DeRozan (back) logged a full practice Saturday and is trending toward being available for Sunday's game against the Spurs, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. DeRozan missed the Kings' last two games after experiencing inflammation in his lower back muscles following Monday's game against the Thunder. However, the fact that he logged a full practice Sunday is a good sign of his potential availability to face the Spurs. DeRozan is averaging 22.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game this season.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Remains out Friday

DeRozan (back) is out for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers. DeRozan experienced inflammation in his lower back muscles after Monday's game against the Thunder, and he's set to miss a second straight game. His next chance to play will come Sunday against the Spurs. In his absence, Jae Crowder could remain in the starting lineup, while Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk and Doug McDermott could all see an uptick in minutes as well.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Out vs. Minnesota

DeRozan is out for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves due to a lower back injury, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports. DeRozan experienced inflammation in his lower back muscles after Monday's game against the Thunder, during which he supplied 30 points (13-21 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal in 36 minutes, and the Kings are taking a cautious approach with him. Expect Kevin Huerter to start in his place, while Malik Monk, Colby Jones and Doug McDermott could all see extra minutes with DeRozan out.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Bounces back Monday

DeRozan supplied 30 points (13-21 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 130-109 loss to the Thunder. DeRozan had scored 16 and 18 points in the losses to the Clippers and Nets, and even though the Kings pushed their losing run to four contests with this loss Monday, at least the veteran forward bounced back from a scoring perspective. DeRozan enjoyed an excellent start to the season, but his numbers have been trending in the wrong direction of late. He's averaging just 17.4 points per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the floor over his last five outings.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Rough shooting night in return

DeRozan (lower back) tallied 16 points (6-19 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-8 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 36 minutes in Friday's 104-88 loss to the Clippers. The Kings didn't limit DeRozan's playing time in his return from a three-game absence due to the lower back injury, but the typically efficient forward struggled to find a rhythm both from the field and the free-throw line. In spite of the off night, DeRozan is still converting on 50.7 percent of his field goals and 82.3 percent of his free throws for the season, so fantasy managers shouldn't panic too much about the lack of efficiency in his first game back. He'll get Saturday off to recover before the Kings begin a back-to-back set Sunday versus the Nets.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Absent from injury report

DeRozan (back) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Clippers. DeRozan participated in Thursday's practice and has officially been given the green light to play Friday evening after missing three games with a back injury. The team has yet to comment on whether the veteran forward will be on a minutes restriction, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see DeRozan ease back into action.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Intends to play Friday

DeRozan (back) returned to practice Thursday and intends to play in Friday's game versus the Clippers, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports. DeRozan has missed Sacramento's last three contests due to a back injury but appears close to returning to action. However, fantasy managers should look out for an official injury report to clarify DeRozan's status ahead of Friday's game.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Taking steps in right direction

DeRozan (back), who has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hawks, has been cleared for individual on-court workouts, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. While DeRozan will be sidelined for a third straight game Monday, the Kings are labeling him as day-to-day, and a return to action in Sacramento's next contest Friday versus the Clippers could be a possibility if all goes well over the next few days. Given that he's been sidelined for about a week with lower-back tightness, DeRozan shouldn't require a lengthy ramp-up period and likely won't have many restrictions with his minutes once he's cleared to play again.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Ruled out for Monday

DeRozan (back) is out for Monday's game against the Hawks. DeRozan has been dealing with a lower-back injury that will hold him out of a third straight game. Doug McDermott and Jordan McLaughlin picked up substantial minutes during Saturday's game and figure to continue to see ample roles with DeRozan sidelined.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Won't play vs. Utah

DeRozan (back) is out for Saturday's game against the Jazz. As expected, DeRozan will also sit out the second half of this back-to-back set, marking two straight absences for the veteran. The Kings opted to start Alex Len at center and Keegan Murray at small forward in Friday's loss to the Timberwolves, but there could be more changes to their lineup since Domantas Sabonis (back) is also out for Saturday's contest. DeRozan's next chance to play will come against the Hawks on Monday.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Absent from shootaround

DeRozan (back) didn't participate in shootaround ahead of Friday's game versus the Timberwolves, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports. DeRozan is officially listed as doubtful for Friday's contest due to lower back tightness. The veteran forward's absence from practice is another indication that he will not be suiting up against Minnesota.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Battling back tightness

DeRozan has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Suns due to lower back tightness, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Keon Ellis started the third quarter in place of DeRozan, who remained in the locker room after halftime with what we know now is a back injury. Ellis and Doug McDermott could see more action while DeRozan is inactive. His next chance to play will come Friday against Minnesota -- the first leg of a back-to-back.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Logs another full stat line

DeRozan produced 21 points (8-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal across 38 minutes during Monday's 116-96 loss to the Spurs. DeRozan is one of the team's most consistent scorers and has logged only one game under 20 points. Keegan Murray and Kevin Huerter have provided occasional support on the wings but have been more inconsistent than DeRozan, who keeps churning out big numbers in multiple categories.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Season-high 34 points in win

DeRozan produced 34 points (14-25 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 43 minutes during Sunday's 127-118 overtime win over the Suns. DeRozan led all scorers with a season-high 34 points, bouncing back after finishing with a season-low 13 points during Friday's 107-98 loss to the Clippers. The veteran's transition to life in Sacramento has appeared seamless, as he's averaging 25.2 points on 53/38/86 shooting splits while the Kings are off to a 6-4 start.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Sets record in victory

DeRozan posted 27 points (11-21 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 122-107 win over the Raptors. DeRozan has now scored 20-plus points in each of his first eight games with the Kings, breaking a record set by Chris Webber 25 years ago. The Kings are getting exactly what they ordered with DeRozan, who is one of the most consistent players in the league at the moment. Over eight games, he's averaging 25.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.9 steals.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Keeps scoring streak alive

DeRozan finished Monday's 111-110 victory over Miami with 26 points (10-18 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 36 minutes. DeRozan has adjusted to a new offensive scheme alongside new teammates, and the veteran has been playing at a high level ever since he stepped on the court with a Sacramento jersey. He's scored at least 20 points in every game this season while shooting an impressive 52.9 percent from the field.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Paces scoring attack

DeRozan recorded 33 points (12-27 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds, four assists and three steals in 43 minutes during Saturday's 131-128 overtime loss to Toronto. DeRozan led the Kings with 33 points and tied his best mark of the season with three steals, but it wasn't enough to bring home the victory. This wasn't an incredibly efficient showing on the offensive end for DeRozan, who surprisingly hoisted up seven attempts from deep after putting up eight total three-point shots through his first five games of the year heading into Saturday's game.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Delivers season-high scoring mark

DeRozan contributed 27 points (9-16 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 8-10 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals across 39 minutes during Friday's 123-115 victory over Atlanta. DeRozan hasn't had a problem adjusting to life as a secondary offensive weapon in Sacramento, and he's putting up solid numbers despite sharing the court with De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. DeRozan has scored at least 20 points in each of his five appearances to date while shooting an impressive 55.4 percent from the floor.

  • Kings' DeMar DeRozan: Scores 20 points Tuesday

DeRozan logged 20 points (9-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 113-96 win over the Jazz. DeRozan finished just two assists away from a double-double, but there's no question his scoring performance was eye-popping -- particularly from the efficiency department. It's been only four games, but DeRozan seems to be integrating quite well into the offense alongside De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. The veteran scorer is putting up 23.0 points per game while shooting 55.2 percent from the field, but perhaps the most impressive stat is that he's recorded at least 20 points in each of his four outings, something Fox and Sabonis can't say.
