Rockets' Amen Thompson: Dazzles with 41 points
Thompson amassed 41 points (17-22 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 42 minutes during Friday's 136-132 loss to the Timberwolves.
Although Thompson finished with his highest scoring total of the season, the Timberwolves snapped Houston's eight-game winning streak. Amazingly, Thompson arrived at his voluminous total without any help from bonus points beyond the arc. All of Thompson's 17 baskets came from inside the perimeter. The Rockets are locked into the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference, so it wouldn't be surprising if Thompson and other Houston regulars play fewer minutes than usual or are held out altogether for the team's regular-season finale Sunday.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Ruled out vs. Memphis
Thompson (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies.
Thompson will sit out the Rockets' regular-season finale but should be able to return for the start of the postseason. The 23-year-old guard will end the regular season averaging career highs in points (18.3), assists (5.3), steals (1.5) and minutes (37.4), along with 7.8 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game across a career-high 79 outings.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Strikes for 19 in Thursday's win
Thompson amassed 19 points (7-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-8 FT), five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 42 minutes during Thursday's 113-102 victory over the 76ers.
The third-year guard has been rock solid for the Rockets down the stretch. Thompson has scored at least 14 points in eight straight games, averaging 18.4 points, 6.9 boards, 5.6 assists and 2.0 steals over that span while shooting 56.4 percent from the floor as Houston tries to chase down Denver and the Lakers for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Turns in double-double for the win
Thompson registered 22 points (10-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, eight assists, one block and three steals across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 119-105 win over the Suns.
Thompson was just two assists shy of a triple-double in the win. The third-year pro had trouble defending Devin Booker and former teammate Jalen Green, but the Suns also had trouble defending Thompson, who enjoyed an accurate shooting night and an excellent result in secondary categories. Although Thompson's scoring totals have been up and down, he's shown to be very adept at racking up ancillary numbers, averaging 8.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.5 steals over the past 10 games.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Stuffs stat sheet Friday
Thompson contributed 21 points (7-11 FG, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and two steals across 32 minutes during Friday's 140-106 win over Utah.
Another game, another impressive performance for Thompson, who scored at least 20 points for the first time since a loss to the Bulls on March 23 while ending just two boards shy of a double-double. Even if Thompson doesn't record double-doubles regularly, his ability to fill the stat sheet and stay heavily involved on both ends of the court gives him impressive upside across all formats.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Stuffs stat sheet Sunday
Thompson produced 14 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and three steals across 35 minutes during Sunday's 134-102 victory over the Pelicans.
Thompson has failed to reach the 20-point mark in his last three games, but the third-year guard continues to leave a mark on both ends of the court even when he's not thriving as a scorer, so he remains a reliable fantasy option in most formats. Since the beginning of March, Thompson is averaging 20.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 58 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from three-point range.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Adds 23 points to hot streak
Thompson totaled 23 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 39 minutes during Monday's 132-124 loss to Chicago.
The third-year guard has been on fire since the All-Star break, reaching the 20-point plateau 10 times during this span. Over his last 17 games, Thompson has averaged 19.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals in 36.9 minutes per game while shooting 58.9 percent from the field.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Records another double-double
Thompson had 26 points (11-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 42 minutes during Wednesday's 124-116 loss to the Lakers.
This was Thompson's third consecutive double-double, and the second over that span in which he surpassed the 20-point plateau. The versatile guard, who has adjusted well to life as the Rockets' starting point guard in the absence of Fred VanVleet (knee), has been excellent on offense of late and has scored in double digits in each of his last 10 games, averaging 21.6 points per game over that stretch.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Logs double-double in defeat
Thompson finished Monday's 100-92 loss to the Lakers with 19 points (8-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one block across 41 minutes.
Although Thompson finished with a quality line, Alperen Sengun's (back) absence had a significant impact on Houston's effectiveness on both sides of the ball. Thompson has played solid ball over the past five games, averaging 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Sniffs triple-double
Thompson closed Friday's 107-105 win over the Pelicans with 23 points (7-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 12 rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 40 minutes.
Thompson had an impressive performance on both ends of the court and finished just two assists away from recording what would've been his first triple-double of the season. The star guard is an outstanding two-way presence for Houston and is averaging 18.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.8 steals per contest since the All-Star break.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Stuffs stat sheet in blowout loss
Thompson produced 23 points (8-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 145-120 loss to the Spurs.
Thompson co-led the Rockets in scoring in this one alongside Kevin Durant, but he also made his presence felt in other categories as well. Thompson has reached the 20-point mark in four of his last five outings, and in five of his nine appearances since the All-Star break, even though he's not known for his scoring prowess. Thompson is averaging a solid line of 17.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 2.2 steals and 0.6 blocks per game since the All-Star break.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: All-around effort in Friday's win
Thompson posted 26 points (11-12 FG, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block over 39 minutes during the Rockets' 106-99 win over the Trail Blazers on Friday.
Thompson scored 16 of his 26 points in the second half and missed just one shot from the field. He finished as the Rockets' assists leader and finished second on the team in rebounds and points behind Kevin Durant (eight boards) and Alperen Sengun (28 points), respectively. Thompson was able to play in both games of the Rockets' back-to-back set, which is a good sign seeing as he was listed as questionable ahead of both of those contests due to a right ankle sprain. He has averaged 21.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.3 steals over 38.2 minutes per game in his last four outings.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Good to go Friday
Thompson (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, Varun Shankar of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Thompson will shed his questionable tag due to a right ankle sprain and suit up for a fifth consecutive contest. Over seven outings since the All-Star break, the third-year guard has averaged 15.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals in 35.6 minutes per contest.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Iffy for Friday
Thompson (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against Portland.
Thompson finished with 18 points (8-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals over 44 minutes during Thursday's 115-113 overtime loss to the Warriors, as he successfully powered through his ankle sprain. Friday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the Rockets are simply considering a maintenance day here.

Thompson was efficient as a shooter but also left his mark on both ends of the court, tallying four steals and notching his third consecutive double-double. Thompson has recorded at least 18 points, 10 boards and four dimes in each of his last four appearances, averaging 15.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals per contest since the All-Star break.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Set to play Thursday
Thompson (ankle) has been cleared to play Thursday against the Warriors, Varun Shankar of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Thompson suffered a right ankle sprain during Monday's matchup with Golden State, but after receiving several days off between games, he'll be ready to run the floor Thursday. He's been performing at a high level across the board of late, as he's averaging 16.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.8 steals in his last five appearances, which includes three double-doubles.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Listed as questionable for Thursday
Thompson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Warriors.
Thompson sprained his right ankle in Monday's win over Washington and is in danger of missing just his third game of the season. According to Rockets reporter Will Kunkel, head coach Ime Udoka said Wednesday that Thompson will be good to go Thursday, though the questionable tag suggests there's still some uncertainty surrounding his availability. If he's ultimately ruled out, Reed Sheppard would likely start at point guard, while Aaron Holiday and Josh Okogie could see increased playing time.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Good to go for Thursday
Thompson (ankle) is good to go for Thursday's game against the Warriors, according to Rockets reporter Will Kunkel.
Thompson didn't return to Monday's 123-118 win over the Wizards after exiting with 8:11 remaining in the fourth quarter due to a right ankle injury, but it sounds like it was a minor tweak. Thursday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set, but Thompson's fantasy managers can go ahead and pencil him into lineups.
