Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Season of woe continues
Hendricks contributed five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and two rebounds over 13 minutes during Monday's 135-112 loss to the Nuggets.
Hendricks continues to play a minimal role, having exceeded 20 minutes only twice in the past 22 games. Seen as a decent late-round flier coming into the season, Hendricks quickly found himself on the waiver wire in just about every redraft format. Through 17 appearances, he has averaged just 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per contest.

Jazz's Walter Clayton: Limited role continues
Clayton amassed six points (2-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and one steal over 17 minutes during Monday's 135-112 loss to the Nuggets.
Clayton played more than 15 minutes, albeit barely, for the first time in the past five games. It's been an underwhelming rookie season for Clayton, averaging 6.1 points and 3.3 assists in 16.1 minutes per game. The assumed trajectory in Utah could ultimately lead to Clayton having a sizeable role at some point. However, that doesn't appear as though it is going to happen any time soon.

Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Season-low 13 minutes
Filipowski ended Monday's 135-112 loss to the Nuggets with five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 13 minutes.
Filipowski's role went from bad to worse Monday, logging a season-low 13 minutes, including just three minutes in the first half. Over his last three games, Filiowski is averaging just 5.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per contest, well below what fantasy managers are hoping for. There is still reason to believe his role will escalate at some point, although knowing when is proving difficult. At this stage, he should be viewed as more of a stash than a must-roster player.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Well-rounded performance in loss
George tallied 20 points (7-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 34 minutes in Monday's 135-112 loss to the Nuggets.
George provided a balanced outing Monday, finishing as Utah's second-leading scorer en route to his fifth consecutive contest with 20 or more points. The third-year point guard has reached the 20-point threshold in 18 of his 28 regular-season games thus far. The 22-year-old also led Utah's starting five in assists and has now dished out at least six in five straight games. He continues to put up strong all-around numbers and has been a bright spot on a struggling Jazz squad.

Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Shifting to bench role
Filipowski isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
Filipowski will return to a bench role following the return of Lauri Markkanen from a groin injury. Filipowski has scored in double figures in three of his last four appearances off the bench but was most recently held to two points in his last showing as a reserve Dec. 12 against Memphis.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Available for Monday
Markkanen (groin) is available for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
Markkanen is set to return following a two-game absence. With Markkanen returning, Kyle Filipowski's upside will take a hit, and Taylor Hendricks could be less involved for Utah. There's no word on any restrictions for Markkanen.

Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Available for Monday
Anderson (personal) will be available for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
Anderson missed Saturday's game versus Orlando, but he'll be back in the mix Monday. He hasn't been a consistent part of Utah's rotation, however.

Jazz's Kevin Love: Will rest Monday
Love will be rested Monday against the Nuggets.
After producing 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Saturday's 128-127 overtime loss to the Magic, Love is getting the night off for the front end of this back-to-back set. In his absence, Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Filipowski could be more involved for Utah.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Questionable for Monday
Markkanen (groin) is questionable for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
Markkanen has missed the past two games for Utah, but he remains day-to-day. Monday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set, so it's possible Markkanen may miss one of the next two games for maintenance reasons. Kyle Filipowski will continue to benefit whenever Markkanen is unavailable.

Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Posts 23 points in OT loss
Mykhailiuk had 23 points (9-16 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 128-127 overtime loss to Orlando.
Although a healthy scratch earlier in the week seemed to suggest a switch in lineup strategy that would prioritize youth, Mykhailiuk was in the starting five again Saturday after a tepid outing against the Lakers. Although Mykhailiuk should be a reliable source of minutes, he needs closer monitoring given the daily uncertainty around the starting lineup.

Jazz's Kevin Love: Turns back clock with double-double
Love chipped in 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Saturday's 128-127 overtime loss to the Magic.
Love turned in his best game of the season by a wide margin. Lauri Markkanen's (groin) absence required more frontcourt support, and an ineffective evening for Kyle Filipowski opened the door for the 37-year-old veteran. Love isn't dependable enough for fantasy purposes, and this total should be considered an outlier.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Scores team-high 27 points
George accumulated 27 points (8-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 9-10 FT), four rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals in 42 minutes during Saturday's 128-127 overtime loss to Orlando.
George was effective in the heartbreaking overtime loss, capping off a tremendous four-game stretch of productivity to end the week. The guard has averaged 34.3 points, 7.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals during the streak, and he'll try to keep things going Monday against the Nuggets.

Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Out for personal reasons
Anderson (personal reasons) will not play Saturday against the Magic.
Anderson hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation with nine regular-season appearances to his name. Consider him questionable for Monday's game against the Nuggets.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Won't play Saturday
Markkanen (groin) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Magic.
Markkanen will miss a second straight game due to right groin injury management. Kyle Filipowski drew the start in place of Markkanen on Thursday night and will likely remain in the starting lineup Thursday. Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Anderson should also see some additional run. Markkanen's next chance to play will come Monday at Denver for the opening leg of a back-to-back.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Doubtful for Saturday
Markkanen (groin) is doubtful to play Saturday versus the Magic.
It appears Saturday will mark Markkanen's second straight game on the sidelines, which should again result in Keyonte George and Ace Bailey dominating the offense. Check back for official word on Markkanen's status closer to Saturday's tipoff at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Jazz's Ace Bailey: Solid total in defeat
Bailey posted 19 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-6 FT), four rebounds and one steal over 26 minutes during Thursday's 143-135 loss to the Lakers.
Bailey enjoyed a decent night on the floor despite the end result for Utah. The 2025 first-round pick has endured some low totals, but he's certainly scoring well enough to be a relevant producer for the Jazz. Since earning the starting job in early November, he's averaged 12.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals over 17 games.
