Jazz's Keyonte George: Rested vs. San Antonio
George (knee) won't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Spurs, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.
The Jazz are resting several veterans for this game against the Spurs, and George's absence is not surprising since he suffered a knee injury in the preseason win over the Mavericks on Thursday. It remains to be seen if George will suit up for the rest of the preseason, though Utah's next preseason game is scheduled for Tuesday against the Kings.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Jazz optimistic about injury
George (knee) will get an MRI on Friday, but the Jazz are optimistic the injury won't prevent him from playing in the regular-season opener against the Grizzlies on Oct. 23, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
George suffered a mild left knee sprain during the third quarter of Tuesday's win over the Mavericks, and while the Jazz are confident he won't have to miss time once their regular season begins, an MRI will provide a more precise diagnosis. George is a pivotal piece for Utah from a short-term and long-term perspective. He averaged 13.0 points with 4.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game as a rookie in 2023-24 across 75 regular-season contests.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Won't return Thursday
George has been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's preseason game against the Mavericks due to a mild left knee sprain, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. George finished with 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes.
George put together a strong stat line before slipping on the court in the third quarter and exiting the game. He'll be shut down for the rest of the matchup and the team will likely hold him out of Saturday's exhibition in San Antonio to ensure he heads into the regular season at full strength.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Scores 13 points Monday
George posted 13 points (3-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, four assists and a steal across 25 minutes in Monday's 122-113 preseason win over the Rockets.
George has scored a combined 25 points while going 7-for-13 from the field in two preseason games, and it seems he's getting into a good rhythm with the start of the 2024-25 campaign just around the corner. George is expected to be a central figure for Utah both in short-term and long-term scenarios, meaning he should be a strong fantasy option across all formats. George will be the lead point guard of a rebuilding team with only one proven offensive threat ahead of him in the pecking order -- Lauri Markkanen.

George notched 12 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and five assists across 23 minutes in Friday's 116-87 preseason win over the Breakers.
George was one of three starters who surpassed the 20-minute mark in the preseason opener and looked sharp, missing just two shots from the field and getting his teammates involved early and often. George will open his second season in The Association as the Jazz's starting point guard and as one of the team's go-to players on offense alongside Lauri Markkanen.

George has scored at least 30 points in both Summer League games he's played in Salt Lake, but he needed only 15 shots to reach the milestone Wednesday after going 5-for-21 from the field in Utah's Summer League opener. George has totaled nine assists over his two appearances.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Sitting out Tuesday
George (rest) will not play in the Jazz's Salt Lake City Summer League matchup versus the Thunder on Tuesday, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.
George scored a game-high 30 points in the club's Summer League opener against the Grizzlies. However, he will sit Tuesday as the Jazz take a look at their crowded rookie class of Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski. George was a key contributor in 2023-24, during which he averaged 13.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds across 27.0 minutes in 75 regular-season games. The 20-year-old's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday versus the 76ers.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Drops 30 points in win
George finished with 30 points (5-21 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 17-19 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 97-95 win over the Grizzlies in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
It was an ugly shooting night for George, who scored 17 of his 30 points from the charity stripe. However, he led his squad in scoring and came through when his team needed him most by drilling a pair of free throws to reach the target score in overtime. The Baylor product saw his fair share of chances Monday evening, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see more opportunities for his younger teammates like Isaiah Collier, Max Abmas and Jason Preston on Tuesday against the Thunder.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Finishes season on high note
George provided 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound and four assists over 20 minutes during Sunday's 123-116 loss to Golden State.
George finished the campaign on a strong note after registering 20 or more points in three of his last five appearances. Despite sharing backcourt duties with Jordan Clarkson (back) and Collin Sexton (illness), George took over the starting point guard role on Feb. 12 after the deadline and thrived, emerging as a viable long-term piece in Utah's rebuilding process. He finishes the season with averages of 13.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.

George led all Jazz starters in scoring while ending as one of six players with a double-digit point total to boost Utah offensively in a close victory. Jazz's Keyonte George: Goes for 20 points Thursday
George had 20 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, five assists and two steals over 33 minutes during Thursday's 124-121 victory over the Rockets.
George was one of Utah's best players in the win over the Rockets, and while this was his 11th game with 20 or more points, it was also the second time he accomplished this feat over his last three appearances. The rookie point guard should enjoy a heavy workload in the final two games of the campaign.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Posts 25 points in defeat
George contributed 25 points (8-16 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes during Sunday's 118-110 loss to Golden State.
George bounced back after a poor shooting night Friday against the Clippers. The 2023 first-round pick shot 50 percent from the floor and drilled four three-pointers, marking his highest total beyond the arc since drilling five threes against the Celtics on March 12. With Jordan Clarkson (back) sidelined, George should see plenty of playing time in the backcourt as the season draws to a close.
