Draft Scouting Report:
Rating: 79.39 (Chance to start)
Pro Comparison: Kenny Yeboah
Strengths:
Tall, pass-catching tight end. Athleticism is good, not great. Some YAC wiggle to his game but won't be anywhere close to a specialist in that area in the NFL. Slightly above-average speed. Good snap in his routes. Hands-catcher who will make snags outside his frame. Not a rebounder, though, and there will be some drops. Speed is average for the new-age TE spot.
Weaknesses:
Noticeable hitch when he gets off the line of scrimmage. Has some in-line blocking experience but needs a lot of work, from hand placement to power. Much more impressive in a straight line than when changing directions.
Accolades:
- 2021: All-Pac-12 first team
- 2021: Led All Pac-12 TEs in rec yards (725)
