The Bengals had just one remaining unsigned holdover from their 2013 NFL Draft class in tight end Tyler Eifert, and the Notre Dame product has now been signed.

Eifert was the 21st overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and, along with running back Giovani Bernard (a second-round pick), is an interesting move by the Bengals, designed to juice up their offense.

Andy Dalton has A.J. Green on the outside and the potentially developing Mohamed Sanu, but Jermaine Gresham has been a bit of a disappointment, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis is just a guy.

Plugging Eifert and Bernard into this offense should give Dalton the type of weapons that he needs to potentially take a step forward as a quarterback, and Eifert's got to be considered something of a sleeper for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

He's got outstanding hands and, coupled with Gresham (also a former first-round pick), should let Jay Gruden do some interesting things with an offense that'll probably feature plenty of two tight-end sets.
