Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson, who was upended on an attempted leaping grab midway through the second quarter and fell several feet onto his upper back Week 16 at Cincinnati, was able to finish out the game after being tested for a concussion.
He wasn't especially productive, though, catching just one pass for 8 yards. Then again, no Vikings receiver was especially productive on a day when quarterback Matt Cassel threw for only 114 yards. Simpson's five targets were third-most on the team.
Simpson, who now has just one catch in each of his last two games, will attempt to bounce back Week 17 against the Lions.
