Titans wide receiver Nate Washington, who rebounded from a nine-game drought in which he averaged 2.7 catches for 37.7 yards with seven catches for 97 yards last week, took another step forward Week 16 at Jacksonville.
He was the extent of the Titans' passing game on a day when quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for only 181 yards, contributing 117 of them on six catches, including a 30-yard touchdown that put the Titans ahead for good in the fourth quarter. His eight targets led the team, but only by one over tight end Delanie Walker, who had four catches for 35 yards, and wide receiver Kendall Wright, who had four catches for 22 yards.
The last time Washington had back-to-back 90-yard performances, he followed them up with three catches for 30 yards Week 5 against the Chiefs. He'll hope to avoid a similar fate Week 17 against the Texans.
