The Vikings waived Knox (undisclosed) off injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Knox was set to miss the entire 2024 season after being placed on IR in late August with an undisclosed injury, but he's now free to sign elsewhere once he recovers from this current issue following his settlement with the Vikings on Monday.

Vikings' Trey Knox: Reverts to IR
Knox (undisclosed) reverted to Minnesota's injured reserve list Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Knox signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in April and played in each of the team's first two preseason contests, totaling one catch (on three targets) for nine yards. The nature of his issue hasn't been disclosed, but he'll need to sit out the 2024 season unless he and Minnesota reach an injury settlement.

Trey Knox: Waived/injured by Minnesota
The Vikings waived/injured Knox (undisclosed) on Thursday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Knox played 61 snaps (31 on offense, 30 on special teams) and registered one catch on three targets for nine yards across his two preseason outings with the Vikings. If he clears waivers, Knox will revert to Minnesota's injured reserve, forcing him to sit out for the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached.

Vikings' Trey Knox: Lands in Minnesota
Knox signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
After four years at Arkansas, Knox transferred to South Carolina for his fifth-year senior season. He compiled a 37-312-2 receiving line for the Gamecocks. He switched positions from wide receiver to tight end in 2021. Knox joins a tight end room that includes T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver, Johnny Mundt and Nick Muse in Minnesota.
