by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban re-signed with the Bears on Tuesday on a one-year contract, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports.

Urban joined the Bears last October after being released by the Titans. The 6-7, 300-pounder subsequently logged 16 tackles in nine games as a reserve defensive end with Chicago. He's in line to continue in that role in 2020.

Urban signed a contract with the Bears on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The veteran defensive end was released by the Titans on Saturday and didn't need to wait long before finding a new team. Urban did not record a tackle in four games with Tennessee while serving in a rotational role and has only 3.5 sacks in 45 career games.

Brent Urban: Released by Titans

Urban was released by the Titans on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Urban was released in order for the Titans to make some more youth oriented roster additions on defense. He will likely have some suitors on the free agent market.

Titans' Brent Urban: Signs with Tennessee
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban is signing with the Titans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

A 16-game starter for the Ravens last season, Urban will now be reunited with Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees, who held the same role in Baltimore from 2012 to 2017. Urban should push DaQuan Jones for a starting job at defensive end in Tennessee's 3-4 scheme, while rookie first-round pick Jeffery Simmons (knee) will focus on his rehab from a torn ACL suffered in February. The Titans now have solid depth across from Jurrell Casey, who is working on six consecutive seasons with at least five sacks.

Brent Urban: Checking out Tennessee
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban visited the Titans on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Urban was a starter for Baltimore in 2018, but the team didn't re-sign him in March. The 27-year-old defensive end doesn't add much as a pass-rushing threat, but he seals the edge well and posted 27 tackles last year. If he ends up with the Titans, he'll likely compete with DaQuan Jones for a starting role.

Ravens' Brent Urban: Not on PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban (foot) won't open training camp on the Ravens' Physically Unable to Perform list, Jamison Hensley of reports.

It was originally reported that Urban would head to the PUP list due to a foot injury, but the defensive end passed his physical and has been cleared to take the field. Five Ravens remain on the PUP list to open up camp.

Ravens' Brent Urban: Will open training camp on PUP list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban (foot) will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.

Urban is working his way back from a season-ending Lisfranc injury he sustained in September. He took part in team drills during June's mandatory minicamp, so it may not be long until he is activated from the PUP list. Urban will face competition for his starting job, and he'll likely split snaps even if he wins out.

Ravens' Brent Urban: Returns to the field
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban (foot) practiced with the team during last week's minicamp.

Urban has battled a series of injuries throughout his first four seasons, limiting the defensive lineman to just 25 career appearances. After re-signing with the Ravens on a one-year deal this offseason, Urban will have to stay on the field and perform effectively to put himself in the team's plans beyond 2018.

Ravens' Brent Urban: Re-signing for one year
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban (foot) re-signed with the Ravens on a one-year contract, Jamison Hensley of reports.

Injuries have limited the 2014 fourth-round pick to 25 games through four seasons, but he's shown flashes of being an effective 3-4 defensive end when healthy. Urban should make a full recovery from foot surgery before training camp, where he'll at least have a shot to compete for a starting job. He's far from the IDP radar.

Ravens' Brent Urban: Ditches walking boot
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban (foot) is out of his walking boot and "close to running," Garrett Downing of the Ravens' official site reports.

Urban is on the mend from a Lisfranc injury he suffered in Week 3 and expects to be cleared to play prior to the start of team training camps in late July and early August. Though he's set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the league year, both Baltimore and Urban have expressed mutual interest in reaching a new deal.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ravens' Brent Urban: Return questionable
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 3 game against the Jaguars due to a foot sprain.

Urban suffered his injury in the first half of Sunday's contest and the severity is unclear at this time. His absence leaves Willie Henry as the only healthy defensive end on the team, likely meaning defensive tackles will have to rotate in at the other end position while Urban is sidelined.

Ravens' Brent Urban: Cleared to return
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Urban (biceps) has been cleared to return to practice.

Urban landed on the Ravens' injured reserve/designated to return list after tearing his biceps during training camp, which followed a torn ACL that caused him to miss all of his rookie campaign last year. Now healthy after being sidelined for half of this season, Urban has been given the green light to return to practice this week, although it's unclear if he'll be ready to play already this Sunday against the Jaguars. Whenever Urban is fit to play, he figures to add valuable depth to the Ravens' defensive front.

Ravens DE Brent Urban tears biceps muscle
by Ruben Palacios | CBS Sports Staff

Oft-injured Ravens defensive end Brent Urban tore a biceps muscle during practice on Thursday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The injury could be season ending, a fate that is ever too familiar to Urban, who missed all of last season after a knee injury during training camp.

"I appreciate the support & hate," Urban wrote this morning on his Twitter account. "I will channel my frustration into training & again come back as if I never got injured sooner than u think."

The injury usually takes about 12 weeks to recover from.

Ravens DE Brent Urban participates in Wednesday's OTA
by Sean D'Oliveira | CBS Sports Staff

After suffering a season-ending knee injury last season, Ravens defensive end Brent Urban was able to participate in the team's OTA session Wednesday, reports

During Wednesday's session, Urban was working with the starters when he got a little too close to quarterback Joe Flacco during a pass rushing drill. After celebrating the play, coach John Harbaugh sent Urban to the sidelines to contemplate what he had done, reports The Baltimore Sun.

"It was Brent's second time, so he was sent to his room for a couple of plays," Harbaugh said. "But we do like to keep our guys away from the quarterback. He was a little too close, and then he was celebrating. That's what sent me over the edge. It's like, 'Do you not understand what we're doing here?'"
