It was originally reported that Urban would head to the PUP list due to a foot injury, but the defensive end passed his physical and has been cleared to take the field. Five Ravens remain on the PUP list to open up camp.
Urban (foot) will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
Urban is working his way back from a season-ending Lisfranc injury he sustained in September. He took part in team drills during June's mandatory minicamp, so it may not be long until he is activated from the PUP list. Urban will face competition for his starting job, and he'll likely split snaps even if he wins out.
Urban (foot) was practicing with the team during last week's minicamp.
Urban has battled a series of injuries throughout his first four seasons, limiting the defensive lineman to a measly 25 career games. However, he did re-sign to a one-year contract with the team this offseason, which may shape up to be a 'prove it' type year for the former fourth-round selection.
Injuries have limited the 2014 fourth-round pick to 25 games through four seasons, but he's shown flashes of being an effective 3-4 defensive end when healthy. Urban should make a full recovery from foot surgery before training camp, where he'll at least have a shot to compete for a starting job. He's far from the IDP radar.
Urban is on the mend from a Lisfranc injury he suffered in Week 3 and expects to be cleared to play prior to the start of team training camps in late July and early August. Though he's set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the league year, both Baltimore and Urban have expressed mutual interest in reaching a new deal.
