Per Chris Johnston of TSN, Richard was put on waivers Tuesday. Richard compiled 30 goals and 67 points in 60 AHL games with Laval last season. He also chipped in three goals and five points in 13 outings with Montreal in 2022-23. If he clears, the 26-year-old forward could spend the majority of the upcoming campaign in the minors.... Bruins' Anthony Richard: Inks two-way deal
Richard signed a one-year, two-way contract with Boston on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Richard had 30 goals and 67 points in 60 AHL contests with Laval in 2022-23. Over 13 games with the Canadiens last year, the 26-year-old contributed three goals and five points.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Heads to AHL
Richard was loaned to AHL Laval on Tuesday. Richard has provided three goals, five points, 13 shots on net and 25 hits in 13 appearances with the Canadiens this season. His demotion corresponds with Montreal activating Brendan Gallagher (lower body) from the injured reserve list.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Tallies in loss
Richard scored a goal on one shot and assisted on another in Thursday's 9-5 loss to Florida. He added one hit and two penalty minutes over 10:26 of ice time Richard recorded his first multi-point game since joining Montreal. After dogged forecheck work by the fourth line, Richard gained control of the puck, spun around and fired one off a post that Sergei Bobrovsky never saw. It was the second goal in as many games for Richard, who is up with Montreal following a knee injury suffered by Christian Dvorak. He later added an assist on Michael Pezzetta's tally.... Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Pots game-winner
Richard scored a goal on one shot and delivered three hits over 7:21 of ice time in Tuesday's 6-4 win over Pittsburgh. Richard got past the Penguins defensemen, accepting a nice feed from Justin Barron, to pot the game-winning goal. It was his second goal of the season and first since being called up four games ago after Christian Dvorak sustained a lower-body injury. Richard has served primarily on the fourth line and averaged 9:52 TOI in his second stint with the parent club this season.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Logs assist in return
Richard had an assist and one shot on goal over 11:11 of ice time in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Nashville. Richard returned to the active lineup after being a healthy scratch the last two games. He skated on the third line and was the secondary helper on Josh Anderson's goal. Richard showed a scoring touch in the AHL before a recent callup to Montreal and could be in line for steady playing time. Montreal head coach Martin St. Louis scratched Joel Armia on Tuesday, and the coach has no shortage of unproductive forwards.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Scores first NHL goal
Richard scored a goal on his lone shot on net in Montreal's 2-1 overtime loss to Colorado on Wednesday. He added one hit and two penalty minutes over 9:44 of ice time. Richard's marker came just 1:48 into the game, but Montreal didn't build off that early edge. It was his first goal in two contests this season, as well as his first career NHL point. His hooking penalty early in the third period led to Colorado's power-play goal that tied the contest. Unlike his first game, when Richard skated at times on the second line, he remained on the fourth line Wednesday. Unless Montreal gives Richard a bigger role, the 26-year-old shouldn't be expected to make regular offensive contributions.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Makes season debut
Richard had two shots on goal and three hits over 10:58 of ice time in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over the Coyotes. Richard, making his Montreal debut, was up from AHL Laval, replacing Rem Pitlick and opened the game on the fourth line. He impressed with his speed, per Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette, and earned a promotion, replacing Juraj Slafkovsky on the second line with Kirby Dach and Jonathan Drouin. The 26-year-old Richard made an impression at Laval, where the farmhand had 18 goals and 13 assists to lead the AHL in scoring.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Lands on waivers
Richard was waived by the Canadiens on Tuesday. In the highly likely event he passes through waivers unclaimed, Richard will head to AHL Laval for the start of the campaign. The 25-year-old forward hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since 2019-20.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Grabs two-way pact
Richard penned a one-year, two-way contract with the Habs on Wednesday. Richard played in 71 minor-league games last year for the Admirals and Crunch in which he tallied 17 goals and 21 helpers. The 25-year-old center's last NHL appearance came back in 2019-20 with the Predators and has logged just one other NHL game in his career. As such, fantasy players should probably anticipate Richard once again ending up in the minors for the bulk, if not all, of the upcoming season.... See More ... See Less -
Lightning's Anthony Richard: Heading to Sunshine State
The Lightning acquired Richard from Nashville in exchange for Jimmy Huntington on Tuesday. Richard has appeared in two career NHL games but hasn't seen any action at the top level since the 2019-20 campaign. He's spent the entire season with AHL Milwaukee after being waived in October. He's scored 12 points in 31 games and will now likely head to AHL Syracuse.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Anthony Richard: Hits waivers
Richard was waived by Nashville on Sunday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports. Richard will almost certainly head to the Predators' AHL affiliate in the likely event he passes through waivers unclaimed. The 24-year-old forward tallied 18 points in 28 games with AHL Chicago last season.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Anthony Richard: Sticking with Nashville
Richard signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Predators on Wednesday. Richard spent all of 2020-21 with AHL Chicago, where he had 18 points in 28 contests. The 24-year-old forward will likely remain in the minors for the bulk of 2021-22, although he'll likely play with AHL Milwaukee assuming that team returns from a one-year absence from play.... Predators' Anthony Richard: Shuffles to minors
The Predators reassigned Richard to AHL Chicago on Wednesday. Richard was added to the taxi squad ahead of Tuesday's game against Tampa Bay, but he failed to make the lineup. The 24-year-old has seen just two games at the top level over the past two seasons, so expect Richard to spend his time bouncing between the minors and taxi squad this year.... See More ... Predators' Anthony Richard: Waived by Preds
Richard was placed on waivers by the Predators on Saturday, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reports. Richard has seen limited action at the NHL level with just a single game under his belt in each of the last two seasons with the Preds. Assuming he clears waivers first, he could be a candidate for the team's taxi squad this season. Such a role would give him fantasy appeal in only the deepest of formats.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Anthony Richard: Re-signs with Nashville
Richard signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Predators on Tuesday. Richard appeared in one game with the big club in 2019-20 but was otherwise with AHL Milwaukee, notching 23 points in 60 games. The 23-year-old forward will once again spend the vast majority of his time in the minors next season.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Anthony Richard: Sent back to AHL
The Predators re-assigned Richard to AHL Milwaukee on Sunday. The 22-year-old got one game with the big club in his time, accumulating two shots and was a minus-1 in the contest. His demotion is likely a good sign regarding the health of Matt Duchene (lower body) and Filip Forsburg (lower body). Richard had 47 point in 73 AHL games last campaign for the Admirals.... Predators' Anthony Richard: Headed back to minors
Richard was shipped down to AHL Milwaukee on Monday. Demoting Richard could be an indication that Nick Bonino (illness) will be healthy enough to suit up versus the Sabres on Monday. In 21 games for the Admirals this year, the 21-year-old has tallied eight goals, four helpers and four PIM. The center will likely spend the bulk of the 2018-19 campaign in the minors.... Predators' Anthony Richard: Promoted to top level
The Predators recalled Richard from AHL Milwaukee on Saturday, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reports. Filip Forsberg is expected to be sidelined for a month due to a hand injury, so Richard will round out Nashville's depth up front for the foreseeable future. The 2015 fourth-round pick has notched eight goals and 12 points in 21 AHL appearances this season.... See More ... See Less
