Athletics' Norge Ruiz: Sent down Friday

Ruiz was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Ruiz spent the last week in Oakland's bullpen but gave up seven runs (five earned) on 14 hits and a walk while striking out nine in six innings over three appearances. The right-hander will head back to the minors after Jared Koenig was recalled by the Athletics on Friday.
