Cubs' Hernan Perez: Sent to satellite camp

Perez accepted an outright assignment Wednesday to the Cubs' alternate training site in South Bend.

Though Perez is no longer a member of the 40-man roster after being designated for assignment Monday, he'll remain in the organization as part of the Cubs' 60-man roster pool. Before being DFA'd, Perez appeared in three games for Chicago, going 1-for-6 with two strikeouts.
