Scherzer is expected to start his first game for the Dodgers on Wednesday at home versus Houston, Michael J. Duarte of NBC LA reports.
Scherzer last pitched Thursday at Philadelphia, when he took the win after allowing one run over six innings. If he makes his Dodgers debut Wednesday as planned, he'll be working on five days' rest and facing MLB's top scoring team. The veteran right-hander recently dealt with a triceps injury but appeared fully healthy in his previous start and should have no restrictions when he toes the rubber for the first time with his new club.
