Mariners' Bryce Miller: Done for season
The Mariners placed Miller on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a blister on his right index finger.
In his last appearance Monday against the Astros, Miller picked up his final win of the season as he allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five over seven scoreless innings. The 26-year-old right-hander ended the year strong with four quality starts in a row, and in 12 games after the All-Star break, he posted a 1.89 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 73:16 K:BB over 71.1 innings. Miller will finish the 2024 regular season with a 12-8 record over 31 starts with a 2.94 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 171:45 K:BB across 180.1 innings. Emerson Hancock was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move, and he will start Saturday against the Athletics.
