Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Loses roster spot

The Mariners optioned Canzone to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.

Canzone had started just seven of 18 games since coming off the injured list earlier this month and went just 3-for-26 at the plate over that stretch. With Julio Rodriguez able to play center field again and Victor Robles sliding over to right field, Canzone's playing time was likely only going to dwindle further had he stuck around with Seattle.
