Martin will test his strained hamstring Friday for the first time since suffering the injury, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
He will run on the field Friday, but remains without a firm timetable to return to action. Martin has already been taking batting practice, but now that he is testing the hamstring, a rehab assignment could be around the corner.
