Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Friday's 7-3 win against Miami.
After missing Thursday's game due to illness, the 31-year-old outfielder tattooed a 390-foot, three-run homer off reliever George Soriano for his first long ball since July 10, snapping a 27-gamne drought. Nimmo entered the game with a .140 batting average (12-for-86) in 23 games since the All-Star break. Overall, the nine-year vet is slashing .228/.343/.405 with 17 homers, 68 runs scored and 70 RBI across 508 plate appearances this season.
