Mets' Edwin Uceta: Goes on IL with ankle sprain

Uceta was placed the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left ankle sprain.

Uceta presumably suffered the injury while making a three-inning relief appearance Saturday at San Francisco. Jose Butto was called up from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move and is expected to start Tuesday's game against the Nationals.
