Michael Papierski: Released by Detroit

The Tigers declined to tender Papierski a contract for 2023.

Papierski turned in miserable offensive numbers in 39 games between Cincinnati and San Francisco last season (.143/.228/.187). The Tigers didn't see enough to want to keep him around either, but catching is always in demand, so Papierski could be in big-league camp with some team next spring.
