Givens (knee) threw on flat ground Thursday in Orioles camp, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Givens has been held out of Grapefruit League action for the last week because of lingering left knee soreness, but there's still some hope he could be ready for Opening Day. He'll likely need to progress to mound work within the next few days to have a chance of avoiding a trip to the injured list to begin the season.
