Phillies' Alec Bohm: Heading on rehab assignment

Phillies manager Joe Girardi said Thursday that Bohm (illness) will go on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Lehigh Valley for the next couple of days before being reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Bohm rejoined the team earlier this week and appears to have cleared MLB's health and safety protocols, but he'll need at least two rehab games to get his conditioning in order after testing positive for the virus. Assuming Bohm gets the green light to return from the IL this weekend, he should immediately reclaim everyday duties at third base from Ronald Torreyes.
