Eickhoff was lifted in the third inning during Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Braves due to nerve irritation in his right hand, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.
Eickhoff should be considered day-to-day and will be evaluated by team doctors within the next couple days in order to determine whether the right-hander can make his next start, which is projected for Tuesday against the Mets. During Wednesday's game, Eickhoff lasted into the third inning on 44 pitches, but gave up six earned runs on six hits and one walk while recording just six outs. Following this outing, his ERA now sits at 4.71 for the year and Eickhoff's record falls to 4-8.
