The Phillies recalled Allard from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday.
With Ranger Suarez (back) landing on the injured list, the Phillies will call upon Allard to fill the opening on the 26-man active roster and in the rotation. The 26-year-old southpaw has made 16 appearances (10 starts) for Lehigh Valley this season, posting a 5.23 ERA and 1.61 WHIP through 63.2 innings. He's slated to replace Suarez in the rotation beginning with Sunday's game against the Guardians in Philadelphia, per Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
