Crick (triceps) threw a live batting practice session Wednesday, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Crick has been on the injured list since May 11 due to a right triceps strain, but he took a step in his recovery Wednesday. He's slated to play catch Thursday, and the team is expected to determine his next step afterward.
