Red Sox's Marcelo Mayer: Nearing return

Mayer (wrist) is expected to return to game action sometime this week, Chris Hatfield of Sox Prospects reports.

He has been sidelined with a sore wrist since April 23. Mayer hit .333/.397/.491 with one home run, three steals, a 9.5 BB% and a 27.0 K% in 63 plate appearances before suffering the injury.
