Red Sox's Tyler O'Neill: Scratched Friday

O'Neill was scratched from the Red Sox lineup for Friday's game against Arizona due to finger inflammation, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

O'Neill is dealing with swelling in the ring finger of his left hand and it's unclear how the injury came about. Still, the issue doesn't appear to be anything long-term and he can be considered day-to-day. Rob Refsnyder replaces O'Neill in left field Friday and will bat fifth.
