Rockies' Yoan Aybar: Designated for assignment

Aybar was designated for assignment by the Rockies on Friday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Aybar is dealing with visa troubles and has yet to report to camp. Once he does, he'll do so as a non-roster invitee unless he's claimed off waivers. The move clears space on the roster for the newly signed Kris Bryant.
